UN human rights chief Volker Turk told an emergency meeting of the Human Rights Council that he was deeply disturbed by the escalating crisis in the eastern DR Congo (DRC). Turk said it is possible that the worst has yet to come for the people of the eastern DRC, and also beyond its borders.
